What do you do when someone evens you out and you lose them?
I know it's not her fault, I know that's too much to lay on one person, too much to expect. And as I lay there with my cheek pressed to the concrete and the handcuffs cutting into my wrists, I couldn't help but see it as a consequence.
I always thought we'd end up together, you made me want to be better. But you're drifting towards him and I'm getting lost again.
I don't blame you, this is not your responsibility. I was lost before, I'd still be lost, and I will probably stay lost.
But for a while I wasn't. Can you blame me for trying to hold on to that?
