Why is age such an important factor in a relationship? Shouldn't it be maturity and personality that counts?

oh, and to mimi. You are an exeption to the rule. It's not common for 17 year olds to find a real match with someone at 32.by anonymous at

15 and 19 are 4 years. The difference isn't as great as some think it to be.
Now change that to 15 and 30. Then there's your ick.by anonymous at -
Hi Silent, I beg to differ.
When I was 15, my friend group was mixed from ages about 12 up to people in their 40s. We all hang out together, go the cinema and all share a love of our sport.
I still am great friends with all these people and I think that age really is irrelevant as long as both parties are honest and not trying to manipulate the other to get something out of it.
Just my opinion, but from my personal experience age is not a huge issue. I'm 17, my boyfriend is 25 and we have no problems.
my past boyfriend was 32, but he was very immature and before you say he was only after sex...I'm still a virginby mimi at -
Hi Gracia,
Good question. Normally there's no reason why a nineteen year old would have any intellectual or romantic interest in a fifteen year old, yet the elder party is often good at convincing them that they are "loved".
What does this mean? Lies, exploitation, and an emotionally stunting experience for all parties involved. Think about what a fifteen year old (other than sex) can offer a nineteen year old.
That's right. Nothing. Ever seen a bunch of fifteen year olds who are friends or buddies with a group of nineteen year olds? No? There's your answer.
