  • replier 3 you make a good point....to believe in something greater then yourself is fantastic...but why have so many religions start wars because others don't think or believe as they do....that's dumb sh*t in my opinion

and yes religious belief are a comfort....to think or believe that "god" is looking out for you does help people live their life. and the intellect of the human race.....well i won't go there.

  • you you tell him number three and give him a peoples elbow while your at it

  • I'd like to congratulate you on your decision, but rabidly disagree with the 1st replier.

Religious systems of beliefs have been followed ever since, and arguably earlier than, the foundation of society. Do you really think that all that is just a comfort?

No. Plainly not. We have religious beliefs for the same reason that we have any system of beliefs at all: people want answers, and people have found God in the world around them. That's all.

To say that it's just a comfort is to dismiss the intellect of thousands of years of humanity. What is wrong with you?

  • excellent!

  • I'm with you on that. Religion is just to comfort yourself after all else has failed.
Power to you for thinking free.
