i know it's complicated and difficult... and yes, being straight in a straight-centered society would be easier. but if you're really gay, being with a woman would probably end up just being really frustrating. when i was having relationship issues and lack-of-relationship issues, i just took the time to get to know myself better and indulge and enjoy being alone and single and hanging out with my friends.
