  • they probably have an interest in you but feel uncomfortable with the age difference b/c society's pressures say that an older man (20's up) and a younger girl/boy (teens especially) should not be together romantically because of the supposedly different expectations, desires, previous experiences. there is also a power complex to consider. that doesn't mean it's not possible that it could work out well, but both people need to be direct and clear with one another as to what each other has experienced and desires. tackle these issues up front and you may be surprised. they may be guarded with their feelings with you more than not having an interest. if you bring up the age difference and subsequent consequences and initiate that conversation, he will know that you are aware of the complications. initiate that, see where it goes, and you may be surprised with how things work out. show him you're aware and he'll likely be relieved, discuss issues, and see where it goes after that. :) good luck. they aren't all bad out there; have a little bit of faith and a whole lot of fun and who knows who will walk your way.... :)
