i dont mean to sound like a bitxx and i promise im not trying to upset you but my ex kept doing that to me untill i stopped refusing him the benefits.
Turned out he didnt love me. But because id stopped sleeping with him, it stopped making me feel like id been played.

No. I don't believe him because he hasn't given me a reason to believe in him.
He says he loves me and then he basically refuses to see me for days. And when he does see me he doesn't act like he loves me, instead he acts like we are just friends with benifits.
