I am a tomboy. I have been for as long as I can remember. I was never the "sporty" tomboy, but more of the type that would play video games and hang out with my brother (and his friends) and shun everything feminine, type of tomboy.
But now, all of a sudden, I have a craving to put on skirts and dresses. I have an urge to fix my hair up and try to look, well, pretty.
I don't want to wear make-up or fingernail polish-- I find that disgusting and I detest it. I don't want to show off my body and try to sleep with guys (I pride myself on my virginity. I won't lose it until I'm married (unless I'm raped)).
I'm just so confused at what to do. My best friend, who is pretty feminine, my mother who is definitely feminine, and my father and oldest brother (and sister-in-law) all want me to become more feminine. All of them want me to (mostly) abandon my tomboy-ish ways (at least in the way I dress, though my mother and sister-in-law wouldn't mind seeing me act more like a girl).
I'm not sure what to do.
